Sydney’s Sofitel Wentworth Hotel is currently presenting a Champagne Exhibition, in conjunction with the French Tourist Office, which features a rare and imported collection of vintage and contemporary photographs, prints and posters celebrating the world’s most beloved drink.
The Sofitel Lounge is offering a choice of over ten different types of French Champagne, available by the glass, paired with strawberry, oyster or pearl tasting plates. Each tasting plate will bring out the best of the Champagne with fresh strawberries for dipping in a dark or white chocolate fondue, freshly shucked Pacific oysters with Champagne Mignonette sauce and Yarra Valley ‘First Harvest’ salmon caviar served with blinis, crème fraiche and chives.
How tempting is that, I can’t wait to try some.
